Commercial Electrical Installations And Maintenance in Preston.

Here at Powerhouse, we work with you to determine exactly what you need, and what you are looking for. From partial rewiring, to a full electrical installation in a new property, we will find out what the requirements are, so that we can provide the most effective electrical solutions. Here are some of the things we will generally need to know:

  • What type of work do you need completing?
  • Will you need additional utilities such as heating or air conditioning?
  • What is the long-term plan for your premises?
  • What is your budget?

With these key pieces of information we can put together a design brief and quote, to help give you a full understanding of what the work will entail, and how much that will cost. We can tailor any electrical installation to your requirements and the unique needs of your business. And we won’t change our prices. These are fixed at the start, so you won’t be left with any surprises on completion of the project.

As all of our electricians are fully trained and qualified, with a high level of expertise, here at Powerhouse, you can be sure that any electrical work is of the highest standard, and complies fully with the most recent safety regulations. This includes Part ‘P’ of the Building Regulations, the Electricity Supply Regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations.

Electrical Installation Certificate

Once any electrical installation, alteration or addition is fully completed, we will provide a certificate to prove that this work meets the safety standards. You will be issued with either an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC), depending on the task.

Keeping hold of this certificate is an important consideration as this save time and money on any exploratory work in the future. This certificate can also serve as documentary evidence that all electrical work is compliant of regulations, and meets safety standards, in the event of a fire or injury.

Ongoing Electrical Maintenance

Legally, employers are obligated to provide adequate health and safety protections for employees. This includes ensuring that all electrical work is safe, and up to standard, in line with the Electricity at Work Regulations. As a result, you will need to ensure that all electrical installations are in good working order.

Here at Powerhouse, we have the skills and expertise necessary to implement EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report) testing for your business This should be repeated every five years. We can also provide professional PAT testing for your electrical appliances. Following the tests, if any repairs or remedial work are required, we will provide a quote upfront, and we can arrange a time to complete this that will suit your company.
